About the Director
Hi, my name is Catherine and I’m the director and founder of Budding Talent.
Originally from Lancashire I began my career playing Polly Peachum in the Threepenny Opera at the Library Theatre Manchester. I then worked extensively with the Manchester Youth Theatre before following a career in acting, securing a place at Rose Bruford College of Speech and Drama on the Actor/Musician Course .
After graduating my credits have included; Marta in Company, Palace Theatre Westcliffe & Greenwich Theatre. Ying Yang Gooley, Upstairs at the Gatehouse, The Mysterious disappearance of Mr. Whinchlever, Quantum Theatre for Science ( Theatre in Education Schools Tour) and Invasion Earth on the BBC. Commercial and presenting credits include N Power advert sponsored by The Bill, Cartoon Network to name but a few!
My passion for acting is matched by my passion for teaching and I’ve taught drama in many schools across London. It is this combination along with 15 years of experience that prompted me to set up Budding Talent - a performing arts school that offers first class training for children and young adults within a supportive and creative environment.
