The Budding Talent Academy is a part-time performing arts school, where children aged from 4 to 16 participate in drama, singing and musical theatre classes. We believe that to become a better all round performer you must have the ‘triple threat’ and be able to act, sing and dance and our Academy classes focus on developing each of these skills. We encourage children to participate in all 3 classes and the end of term Academy show.
We offer a fun, creative and interactive learning environment where children can grow in confidence, use their imaginations and develop social skills that will see them through to adulthood.
Our staff
All our teachers are professionals within the industry and are CRB checked, so you can be sure your children are in a safe environment with people you can trust.
The Academy schedule
Academy classes run every Saturday during the school term time, with a break for half term.
We offer a commercial approach to all our training and children will receive tuition in acting for TV, microphone technique, street dance and pop singing.
At the end of each term there will be an Academy show which gives children the opportunity to perform and showcase their new-found talents.
Opportunities
Children will also have the opportunity to enter into competitions, regional shows and pursue LAMDA qualifications should they want to.
Particularly promising children may also be given the opportunity to be represented by the Budding Talent Agency and put forward for commercial work.

Budding Talent Academy Curriculum
All our teachers are professionals within the performing arts industry and have taught and worked professionally in TV & Musical Theatre. We craft each of our classes to suit each age group and every class should develop the technique, confidence and skills of every one of our students.
At the start of each term, we’ll provide a full curriculum and we encourage parents to talk to the teachers about their child’s progress throughout the term. At the end of each term, children will receive a full written report highlighting their achievements, progress and any areas we can work together to improve.
What’s covered in each class?
Seeds (4-6 years)
Class: Movement, singing and drama
Duration: 1hrs 30mins
In this adventure workshop, children will learn singing rhymes and simple songs. The aim of this class is to develop good breathing control and vocal skills. Children will also be taught to respond to rhymes using actions and movements and to develop an understanding of fast and slow, loud and quiet, long and short and high and low.
Through character role play children will be encouraged to use movement to communicate ideas. We aim to make every class fun and exciting and children will learn short dances inspired by imaginative themes such as clowns, penguins and folk dancing.
Movement, singing and drama should create a solid foundation on which children can build as they move through the Academy.
